What Do You Do With Your Free Time?

This question of what I do with my free time has me wondering what others do with their free time. I will post some things I do and feel free to post what you do in the comments section. We can then all pool our ideas and see if we come up with some more interesting ideas of what to do with our free time.

Some things I do (and I have more free time than others as my kids are mostly independent now.): Walk, outdoor mountain bike riding, indoor exercise bike riding, watch DVD's that I get for free from the library, read non-fiction books, surf the net with no purpose but to rummage through different sites, visit with friends, listen to music, cook up new made up vegetarian recipes, do sewing projects or art, write poetry, write on this blog, write in my journal, take flower photos and make flower note cards, take photos of stuff around town and if I am really bored I resort to channel surfing on the TV and often find something to watch.

So what do you do with your free time? Keep in mind this is more of a "G" rated site, thanks. :-)

I have a lot of free time this summer that I usually don't. This week, I've been havesting lavender and roses to make satchels and potpourri. I like reading just about everything, writing fiction, going swimming at the lake and the river, being outside in nature, and hanging out with my husband and our pets. We took up backpacking this year and it has been cool going off the beaten path. I've been watching the Due South TV series from the 90's on DVD from Netflix. I also like to watch free streaming TV on the web, my favorite shows are Burn Notice, Psych, Monk and the Big Bang Theory. I'm going to buy a wok and try to make veggie Chinese food as a new treat. I'll have to try the sudokos they sound like fun.
