I did this painting when I was thinking about the Niagara Falls at night. It is so pretty when they put colored lights on the falls. I only saw the lights in photographs because I was only at the falls during the daytime. I did go on the Maid of the Mist ride with a boyfriend once. I was only eighteen then and it was rather scary. I thought the boat was going to get really close to the falls, but they didn't. Just close enough to get some mist on you and then they turn back around. As a young person it was very thrilling going on that boat ride, though. And now here years later I have that memory. :-)
