I don't feel too bad if I don't make applesauce right away as we have a neighborhood raccoon who has a grand time just taking bites out of all the apples that drop, so at least they don't go to waste.

Yes, seems my heart is for the raccoon and I am letting him have lots. Plus our neighbor takes some to his girlfriends horse, so all is well with the apple tree.
