The birds were enjoying themselves today at Glass Beach. The weather has turned around and we had a nice sunny day.

Noticing Beauty in Simple Things

 

One time I read about a person who said that all it took was a "daisy in a jam jar" to cheer her up. This little flower called a "Calendula" cheered me up today. I didn't pick it though. Just let it be. :-)

Sunset by Pudding Creek Bridge

It was a peaceful time at Pudding Creek this evening. I saw a family of geese and a pretty white bird there, too. The white bird looked like it would fly away if I got closer, so I didn't take its picture. It was too dark to get the Geese family, but I guess everything isn't meant to be photographed.

Even with the chill in the air at night, it is still nice to bundle up and see a sunset. Happy to live in such a pretty place.

These pretty purple flowers are growing by our library in Fort Bragg.

Pretty in Pink

 

Just saw these on a walk today and I just thought they were very pretty. It is funny how these pink lady flowers just grow out of dry ground it seems and do great.

Little Red Apples in Pie

 

Yes there really are little red apples. They are yellowish red on the outside and red on the inside. And here is a photo of some of them in a pie I made recently. And I used Brown Rice Syrup instead of sugar and it turned out just fine. :-)

Another great day in Fort Bragg

We have had another great day in Fort Bragg. Nice and warm. Seems like it was a Southern California day today. I don't have any news to report except the weather. Actually my computer broke, so I am borrowing a family members. I hope to get back to posting some photos as soon as my computer is fixed or I figure out how to share them from this computer. Anyway, if you stumble upon this message, hello, and thanks for visiting my site. :-) Oh and I read online today or yesterday there is approx. 95 days until Christmas. I wasn't even really thinking of that until I read that today. For now it is September and wonderfully warm. Far from the cold days of December, yay!

Summer Day

Next week we will have the first day of Autumn. But today sure was a summer day. Very warm for us. A neighbor said it might have been even 76 degrees today. It could have been, but it probably was only about 68 or so, which is very warm for us. Today just was such a wonderful day though. Probably one of the best days of summer.
