High Temperatures Today
Today is a hot one here in Fort Bragg. Usually it is cool and breezy so this is a big change. It is 73 degrees in the house now and it is after 10 pm. That is hot for here. I do like this though. Always love the warmth. Seems the older I get the more I love heat. I even wore a warmer shirt today to increase the warmth, but it did get to be too much and I had to change to a lighter weight one. I will enjoy the heat while we have it.

Glass Table Shattering Mystery
Well, I was just sitting downstairs reading and all of a sudden I heard a loud glass breaking sound upstairs. I quickly ran upstairs to see what happened. And here in these photos are the results. Our glass table just shattered to pieces. Nothing even fell on it. Seriously! So it is still a mystery as to how it happened.
Then we looked up glass shattering and found out that lots of glass tables can do this for no reason. Maybe they have a little scratch here and there and then all of a sudden they just shatter to pieces! It is so horrible. I am so glad no one got hurt, too. I never would have ever thought that would happen. It was a thick piece of tempered glass on top of this table, too. The benefit of the tempered glass had the pieces of glass not being as sharp as just regular non-tempered glass would have been.
It took me quite a long while to clean up this mess! So weird these kinds of things can happen! Anyone with little kids need to certainly not have these kinds of tables in their houses. Well, any adults for that matter as well. Better to stick with wood. I just am so glad that no one got hurt. And I got this at a yard sale of a family with little children, so I am so glad it didn't happen to them because if it would have happened around little kids they really could have gotten hurt.

Thoughts On The News
I took a little news break and only read the headlines online, not delving into reading the articles or watching the news. But I watched lots of news yesterday and it all was really depressing. Those pirates taking over ships, horrible crimes done to small children, the bad economy, violence, war and that was enough for me to want to quit watching the news again!
I think it is true about what we fill our minds with. When it is filled with all this bad stuff it certainly does us no good. So hopefully I will venture into reading more positive things like starting a garden, recycling tips, ways to make the planet a better place to live and filling my mind with these things can surely be more helpful for me and for others. Because when we are agitated and upset, it does no good for those around us either.
So I will look into reading more optimistic and inspiring things. Not that I will be like an ostrich with its head buried in the sand, I can still read the headlines, but delving into the stories and reading more and more about negative and horrible things is just doing me no good, so I will focus more on the positive and good things of the world instead.

Movie: The First of May - Great Movie!
I watched this older movie on DVD the other day called "The First of May". It was so wonderful. About a little foster child and a lady in a nursing home and their adventures. What a wonderful story! Probably one of the best movies I have seen in a long while. Very heartwarming like those old Hallmark movies from years back. Here is a link to a website about it: http://www.firstofmay.com/

One Year Of Blogging For Me
Well, I started this blog one year ago. I certainly wrote lots on this blog at first and put lots of stuff here. Over the months some things have vanished as in Youtube not allowing certain music videos online any more, but at least lots of my other things have remained here. It has been a long winter it seems. I can't wait to get out more for outings like I did the other day. It was so nice to go on a long walk by the beach on our Haul Road and enjoy seeing our birds and waiting to catch a glimpse of deer in the meadows, too. So I am in a happier mood now that it is spring and summer will be coming up. I hope to make it another year as a blogger and look forward to even more of a variety of things to add to my blog. This blog is not really promoted anywhere accept perhaps by a random search at google or just stumbling across it, or perhaps I gave you the address of it, so if you find it, thanks for stopping by. And for all of you who have visited and commented, I appreciate it. :-)
