Flowers in the Winter

Love how Fort Bragg has such pretty flowers even in the winter! Now just wait until spring comes around, that will be a big show of flowers blooming after all this rain. I am really looking forward to it, too. :-)

Mother Nature

Well, over the past couple of days we have had rain, thunder, lightning, hail and high winds. Mother Nature is busy at work here in Fort Bragg, CA. I did catch a glimpse of a rainbow when the sun came out for a bit today, but didn't grab my camera in time. Guess some things are meant for my eyes only. Well, all I can say is I am totally grateful for the sturdy rental home I am living in with Mother Nature going to town!

Today

Today has been an amazing day with some rain and some sunshine. Just got back from a bike ride and it sure was pretty with the sun and the clouds. We got lots of rain last night which we needed and getting out in between rain drops is the way to go in Fort Bragg. Smile.

2010

Well, here we are in the year 2010. Pretty amazing, especially for those of us from the 50's or earlier. Lots of good things have happened as far as technology has gone. No more chipping ice out of the refrigerator. No more black and white TV's with antennas on the roof. We have microwaves which makes cooking a whole lot easier and faster. The internet and computers are amazing. And digital photography - wow! Of course we have cell phones, too, but I am not so into that, but I understand our youth love them. I can see how neat that would be to "text" your friends without the worry of your parents "hearing" what you are saying. Pretty great!

Well, I wish anyone stumbling across this post a very Happy New Year 2010.
